LIVE TWICE LOVE ONCE - Feature Film Score

ABOUT THE FILM
Vivir Dos Veces Is a dramatic comedy about a dysfunctional family who go on a long-lost-love road trip for the grandfather and rediscover each other in the process. Starring Oscar Martínez, Inma Cuesta and Mafalda Carbonell, it came out in cinemas on 5th September 2019.

ABOUT THE MUSIC
The score - written by Arnau Bataller with me as additional composer and producer - features vintage piano, intimate and kooky ensemble moments, as well as strings recorded in Budapest. I worked closely back and forth with Arnau to help him create his vision, produced most of the music in my studio and acted as lead pianist.

We also produced several pop covers for the soundtrack, including the classic love song Perfidia (a key part of the story) and I invited the fantastic Maria Rodés to sing it. This re-harmonised, gentle and simple version of Perfidia went on to be quite popular on Spotify and Youtube, with millions of plays, which was very satisfying to see.

Many people went to find the song after watching the film and it has been lovely to read the comments on Youtube about the film in general, it seemed to touch many people who have experienced Alzheimers in their family. I am very proud to have taken part in such a film score.
