My project for course: Expressive Drawing with Charcoal

I started off defining the main shapes using powered charcoal and the Sofft tools.

Continued defining main shapes using Sofft tools and kneaded eraser. I then sprayed fixative on this layer before continuing on.

I begin adding details. I decided to use Nitram charcoal along with the kneaded and mono erasers.

I add the final details using charcoal pencil, Nitram charcoal and mono eraser.

I really enjoyed this course. I've always moved to the details too quickly with my drawing. I'm working on being looser and more expressive with my drawing and saving the details until the end. I plan on practicing the methods that Tianyin taught to work towards this goal.
