I really limped across the finish line on this final project. In the last few years I got my dream job - but the career is time consuming and not related to art. My goal with this course was to sneak some artwork back into my life and to develop my drawing and illustration skills as a personal outlet/ form of self-care/ relaxation. I tried my best - but wasn't able to draw every day. However, I am getting better at time management and integrating drawing into my daily routine.
I built a little sketch kit w/watercolor pencils and carry it in my briefcase/ carry-ons and I make most of my drawings in my personal LEUCHTTURM1917 - Notebook Hardcover Medium A5 Dotted Notebook. I just work my little drawings in on blank spaces on the pages. They are great sturdy notebooks (although not great with heavy inks) - this way when I'm sitting in an airport, or at home after dinner rather than scrolling on my phone I can sketch something out.
I've included some of examples - not all of them great - but representative of the better half of my 30 drawings.
I really loved the course - it did a great job of exploring mediums and covering some basics that I didn't know previously. Sorie Kim's work is amazing.
