Filth

A personal project that utilises a variety of different processes, this is one of my favourite pieces I've created so far. All hand-sketched and hand-painted, it shows what is possible with a good understanding of letterforms, colour and layout, shades and other techniques.
This piece has a close and cast shade, a water-gilded letter fill, abalone centre details and a marbled background.
While not something that can be taught in one course, it shows what kind of techniques you can build up over time with care and practice.
