My project in Portrait Illustration with Analog and Digital Techniques course

Finally completed the project. I used an old sketch that I thought was really good and just added the colours and details to them. I did not bother to erase the sketch lines and allowed some of them to be part of the illustration. I had sketched in blue and red graphite (mechanical pencil) and I think the sketch lines add to the overall piece.

I had so many "what if's" in the past when creating portraitures - something I've always enjoyed very much above all my other types of illustrations. Wondering if it will ever be good enough or accepted because I just can't 'paint properly' (realistically) and my sketches are much better than when I paint albeit them being messy and scruffy.

This course showed and thought me that I can be all that, keeping my authenticity and still be able to come up with a decent piece :)
