Maru Godàs studied graphic design at IDEP and the Llotja de Barcelona. From that moment on, the main focus of her work began to shift heavily towards editorial pieces for publishers like RBA, Cruïlla, Planeta, and Salvat, among others. Her true passion has always been illustration and after discovering the Urban Sketchers collective, she took to the streets with a sketchbook in search of inspiration.

Since then, she has published various books containing her work and her illustrations have appeared in magazines for organizations such as La Caixa, La Vanguardia, and the RACC. She is currently combining her commissioned work with teaching, leading workshops and urban sketching and illustration courses across the world. She thrives on sharing her discoveries with her students and above all, by encouraging them to try new things.
