Hello John
I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to do the course. I hope you have learned and that you have enjoyed it.
I really like your final work. It looks like an old photo. I think the technique is fine. You used the smudger very well and the transition of the gradients looks smooth and harmonic. I also like that you have not done so much detail on the face and hands of the figure as they give a certain originality to your work. I think the background is the part that I like the most. Keep in mind that such a fund is not easy to achieve.
Now, I think the lady's dress needs a little more volume. This is because the shades of gray are very similar so there is not much depth. On the other hand, I think the figure could have been integrated a little better with the background, especially in the arm that the woman has on her back. Finally the challenge of the necklace. I think the way to do it would have been with a rough draft at the end rather than at the beginning so that it fully integrates with the background.
But in general it is very good. I congratulate you! Thanks again for taking the course and until the next time.
@rhinunez thank you very much Teacher, an honor to have been able to follow your course, I learned a lot to refine my skills with graphite. Without a doubt, I will put all your advice into practice, and through that I will improve day after day within this beautiful art of illustration. Greetings from Paraguay.
