I wanted to explore the idea of absence on a metaphorical level, also combining it with the idea of distancing myself from nature - fully embracing the nature and getting dissolved in it, losing my subjectivity - and finally finding the balance of being a subject and treating nature as a subject too.
I am 'absent' on the all of three photos - there is no face, no distinguishing features, that might be as well anybody else and you wouldn't know it.
In the first piece I am fully distanced from nature and I am some kind of a ghostly visitor - fully dressed, with a veil, treating nature as a backdrop and nothing more.
Second piece shows the opposite - I've fully embraced nature and escaped into it, but by doing so I got dissolved and lost my subjectivity, becoming the part of the backdrop.
Finally, I manage to restore myself as a subject and treat nature as a subject too - which is a huge theme in my life. I found balance, not losing my personality to the chaos and greatness, but also appreciating this chaos and greatness.

Anna,
I really love this three part narrative series. I appreciate that you took the time to explicate it at the beginning to help your viewers understand and to build visual literacy. I am very inspired by your work. Thank you for posting it here.

A complex subject that requires reflection and delving deep into oneself. I really like the way you treated him.
