Isabelle.... Your final project is wonderful....and to think...it's your first gouache! I think Emma is going to love it also, Your "realistic" work must be FABULOUS! Keep painting!

This is absolutely beautiful, thank you so much for sharing! I am amazed that this is your first gouache, you’ve handled the medium so well. I love the original reference photo, the addition of the orange flowers perfectly balances the cool green tones. You’ve captured the textures of the building so delicately with great attention to detail. You have asked for feedback, this is a very accomplished painting so there’s really very little I could suggest, the only thing I would say is the roof tiles are almost too perfect, compared to the reference photo. As this is a very old building I would paint some of the tiles subtly different shades of terracotta, and maybe a few at a slight angle, to convey the age of the building. But this is really a tiny thing. I hope you keep painting with gouache!
@emma_block Thank you so much for your feedback. I shared my corrections on the tiles up there, you can see it on the Before/After document. I didn't want to tilt them too much since the tiles were already in place, but I played with the colors and shapes to add variety as you suggested. I think it does look better. Thanks :)
