‘Dinosaurs’

I made this work as 2 illustrations for the front and the back covers of the book about dinosaurs.

I have a fascination with everything that is in between magic and reality, existence and fantasy.

I feel like the dinosaurs are the representation of the door between the reality and dream. They existed way before we came to this world and spent way more time on earth then we did so far, but no one ever saw them. The majority of people believe in them despite the fact they never observed them. But in comparison to unicorns or fairies there is a link that puts dinosaurs in the same reality as we are - the scientific evidennces. They are like a magic that exists.

Dinosaurs vanished and became invisible, but we can still see some of their bones in the museums.
The foggy texture of this drawing is showing the misterious nature of all these connections.
