Final Project - Bear Mage

This course has been super great, and really challenged me in the smaller details and parts of creating a character that I usually don't think as deeply about. It felt challenging to paint as I don't paint this way typically, though it's fun to learn!

Initial thumbnails - I had other animals in mind, but couldn't stay away from a grizzly bear. They're tough, yet soft.

I settled on this one; still wanted some raven symbolism involved, and try to maintain the fantasy fashion while traditional.

Flats; shading had begun for the drum and the cedar hat. Really leaned into colours of the medicine wheel's warm tones.

Overally, I really appreciate the time taken to bring forward the process of designing in this, and to get myself out of my comfort zone! I definitely will be taking some tips and tricks from it for future projects.
