This project required me to develop two cocktail recipes featuring Mi CAMPO Tequila for the brand's upcoming summer marketing campaigns. The goal was to showcase Mi CAMPO being used in cocktails that consumers could easily create at home and feel familiar to them. The client wanted me to stay in "Margarita territory" when coming up with these recipes, so that meant following a pretty traditional template of tequila, lime and some sort of sweetener.
For the first recipe concept, I went with a Paloma, which is another traditional tequila cocktail that uses grapefruit and soda. I modified it slightly by using a spicy-honey syrup to add some spice, and built out the recipe in a way that more easily allowed for batching (making it in large amounts for when hosting people).
On the second recipe, I made a Margarita using mango puree and a Tajín (or spiced) rim. The mango puree does change the texture of the cocktail, and does benefit from being made in a blender, but the final result was really delicious and was definitely the client's favorite.
