She explores her homeland and distant places, capturing wild nature stories that inspire us to reconsider our relationship with nature. However, it was a serendipitous encounter in a South African antique shop that truly inspired me. I stumbled upon the exquisite art of intertwining beads with metal, and that moment became a revelation. I couldn't wait to return home and explore the myriad possibilities within this technique." Q: What prompted you to start your business, Mountain Maiden Company? A: "After extensive experimentation and refining my craft, I reached a point where I felt confident enough to start my own venture. Thus, Mountain Maiden Company was born. Initially, it began as a small jewelry business, but it has since blossomed into an ever-expanding collection, showcasing my evolving creations."
