MELBOURNE HOUSE / A sensitive adaptation of a suburban house in Victoria providing extra space, light and functionality without increasing its footprint. The design is focused on improving the overall spatial flow while optimising the social functionality through the integration of the open living, dining and outdoor spaces.
The varying design solutions aim to accommodate multiple cost options whilst maintaining identical design principles.
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Accommodation: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 plunge pool (Solution 3)

Docent PlusA fantastic project!
Solutions 2 or 3 seem more interesting because they open up the entire common space to the large patio.
In solution 3 it is very appropriate to have a work area.
You could look for an invention to hide the tv when you are not using it.
Thank you very much for sharing with us!

@nookarchitects Thank you very much Ana and Team Nook for your comments! I love that you mention an item that I should have thought of earlier, but missed: hiding the TV and study when not in use. Sparkly! :-D

Docent PlusHi @nadiah_posthumus !
Also tell you that the plans are very clear and expressive, filling the walls in black in this case is a success! We also like sober images that include people a lot!
Very well!

Hi,
it's great! With what program did you make the plans?

@neresortegadelcid Hi there!! So sorry I just read your comment here. I used SketchUp Pro 2019 with V-Ray plug-in :-) Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. I'd be glad to share what I've learnt :-)

@neresortegadelcid I also used Adobe Illustrator to post edit the floor plans and Photoshop to further edit the visual renderings :-) I hope this helps!

@nookarchitects Hi Ana and Team Nook :-) Just to let you know I took your advice on board and tweaked my design for Solution 3. I added a Pocket Office as a dedicated workspace in the living area, which can easily be concealed by the bi-fold pocket doors. This unit also stores the television/entertainment sets and it also acts as an additional storage unit. I created a GIF animation to show how this works.
Thank you so much for your feedback; it made me analyse my design considerations to the minute of details :-)
