Hi Luis, amazing work! I love the environmental concept you had for these images about protecting sharks and demystifying them as an aggressive animal. I love the top image, and I think it is really interesting how you created this monochromatic blue color palette. I also think the composition is quite fascinating showing different levels of perspective of the city above and below the water. It is really dreamlike and surreal and the details of the diver and the sharks in the image definitely add to that. It really has this very nice feeling of floating in the image which I quite like. Part of me wants to see a more distinct water line to create more of a separation, but I also really like how you blended the above and below sections together with reflections. It creates this glassy effect on the water surface which looks really compelling. I'm also quite fascinated with the bottom image, and I think it is really interesting how you also used this monochromatic color scheme. The composition of this is great and I love all the details like the shark fins, Jaws posters, and skulls. You also did an especially great job with the lighting in this piece, it feels very atmospheric and draws you into the scene. I'm a little confused by the sumo wrestlers, but I really like it because I think this is what great art does, it makes you think and ponder over the meaning behind the image. Overall, excellent work! I think you've developed a very unique style and very compelling motivations in your work. I would definitely keep going in this direction because I think it is fascinating. So keep creating beautiful, strange, and surreal work and follow this wherever your ideas lead you because I think you on to something great.
Also, thanks so much for your comments on the course, that really means a lot to me. I'm currently working on my next course with Domestika going deeper into the photomontage techniques I use in my work that I think you would enjoy. Should be coming out in the spring next year so stay tuned. Cheers!
