“LET'S START OUR PORTRAIT In this lesson I will transfer the portrait I chose to paper. To speed up the process I normally use a lightbox, but you can use any kind of light that allows you to trace, A window will serve, for instance. You can use a grid or trace with a pencil. You can even copy the portrait freehand. It doesn't have to be identical to the picture. There're many ways to do it. For tracing I recommend, what I normally use, is a hard pencil, a 3H or 4H could work. Since I will then apply watercolor, a hard pencil will be less noticeable, even if afterwards I end up going over wi...”
